Oracle Database Administrator - Washington, D.C.

Full Visibility is seeking an Oracle Database Administrator to work in Washington, D.C Candidate must possess an active Top Secret clearance.

The Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) will be responsible for database operations and maintenance, installation and configuration, administration, and other technical responsibilities related to Oracle databases. The candidate will have experience in monitoring, troubleshooting, testing, upgrading, and maintaining Oracle databases, database administration for existing and future database systems, and implement database backup and disaster recovery routines. The Oracle DBA will assist with database operations, patches, and upgrades; provide administration of access control; and monitor the databases' storage needs to ensure it is running efficiently. The successful candidate will support data migration from legacy systems into Oracle databases, using Oracle export/import datapump. The ideal candidate will be familiar with the Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGs) and Certification & Accreditation (C&A) activities regarding security of databases and be able to provide support during multiple phases of the C&A process including definition, verification, validation, and post-accreditation.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret Clearance

• At least ten (10+) years of experience with database administration for existing database and future database systems

• At least five (5+) years of experience with Oracle's Application Express (APEX) and Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS), and Integration of Oracle APEX with BI Publisher

• Able to develop using SQL queries, Materialized views, database links, PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, triggers, cursors

• Experience utilizing Amazon's AWS Cloud environment and to include, but not limited to the ability to create, maintain and work efficiently with RDS, EC2, S3 services

• Working knowledge and the ability to maintain Tomcat Apache/Catalina

• Possess the ability to work with PKI, server certs, both JAVA Keystores and Oracle Wallets

• Knowledge of SSL Encryption protocols and the ability to support both Encryption at Rest and Encryption at Transit

• At least five (5+) years of experience working with the Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGs) regarding security of databases

Preferred:

• Excellent written and verbal communicator

• Critical thinker

• Demonstrated ability to interact with high level clients and a proven track record of performing database maintenance and administration, such as space allocations, and reorganizations, and implementing database changes in response to changes in an enterprise environment.
