Title : Oracle Customer Care and Billing (CC&B) Senior Developer

Location : Paramus, NJ

Duration : 6+ months contract with possible extension

Rate : $54 to $64/hr on W2


Position Purpose

  • The Oracle Customer Care and Billing (CC&B) Senior Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining technical solutions in Oracle CC&B. This role includes both production support and contributions to capital projects. The developer will collaborate closely with functional teams to understand business requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver high-quality solutions, primarily within an Agile framework.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain the Oracle Customer Care and Billing (CC&B) application.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, business analysts, and architects to gather and analyze requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Write complex queries, PL/SQL code, and Java code to support the application.
  • Integrate CC&B with other applications using Inbound Web Services.
  • Establish and follow best practices in line with industry, regulatory, and technical standards.
  • Conduct code reviews, perform unit testing, and debug code to ensure high quality.
  • Document processes, procedures, and technical specifications.
  • Provide technical guidance to other developers.
  • Proactively monitor service access, availability, performance, and usage.
  • Provide day-time and on-call night-time support for production systems.
  • Support enterprise projects and deployment initiatives.
  • Stay current with the latest Oracle CC&B releases, features, and best practices.

Qualifications Education / Experience

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred.
  • At least 6 years of experience developing and maintaining Oracle Customer Care and Billing (CC&B) applications.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Proficiency with Oracle CC&B and related Oracle Utility Solutions such as C2M and CCS.
  • Strong experience with CC&B customizations including Batch, Algorithms, Change Handlers, UI Maps, Scripts, Business Objects, Business Services, and Inbound Web Services.
  • Proficient in Java, SQL, and PL/SQL.
  • Experience with the Hibernate framework, WebLogic Server, and scripting languages (Perl, Shell, Ant).
  • Understanding of web services, RESTful APIs, and XML/JSON formats.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab.
  • Familiarity with enterprise schedulers such as Cisco TIDAL or similar tools.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment while managing multiple priorities.

Certifications / Licenses / Training

  • Oracle Customer Care and Billing Certification preferred.
