PlanIT Group is seeking an Oracle ATG Software Engineer to support our Federal customer in the Washington, DC area. The ideal candidate will be involved in the development, deployment, and administration of tools and services on an ATG Oracle, cloud-based, high-performance infrastructure. Must have a minimum of thirteen (13) years of experience in software development.

Duration: One year plus annual extensions

The Software Engineer will be involved in the development, deployment, and administration of tools and services on an ATG Oracle, cloud-based, high-performance infrastructure. Overall job responsibilities include:
  • Developing, maintaining, and deploying container images for set of modeling packages available in our environment.
  • Automating manual deployment and release steps for platform infrastructure supporting our modeling environment.
  • Standing up new opensource, cloud native, and COTS products and integrating tools into existing architecture, including REST API integration.
  • Assisting in operationalizing AI/ML workflows into production.
  • Communicating platform changes and escalating platform issues as they arise.
Required Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience in standing up and administering data analytics tools and platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience with hosting cloud infrastructure, specifically in AWS
  • Experience with source version control (GitHub)
  • ATG Oracle and SQL proficiency
  • Server configuration knowledge of WebSphere, IBMIHS, TomCat, Endeca, MDEX, Platform Services
  • Networking knowledge
  • Infrastructure knowledge
  • UNIX experience
  • Splunk knowledge
  • Firewall configurations
  • NetScaler VIP configurations
  • Akamai/Edgio CDN configuration and knowledge
  • Development background in Java programming
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Configuration and Policy as Code (YAML)
  • Experience with REST API integration
  • Familiarity with Okta groups and permission administration
  • Experience in connecting large scale applications in an overall systems architecture
  • Experience integrating Infrastructure as Code into a system architecture (Terraform/Ansible)
Additional Required Skills/Experience:

• A minimum of thirteen (13) years of experience in software development.

• A degree from an accredited College/University in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.

• Able to perform all functional duties independently.

• Experience training/mentoring less experienced personnel.

• Moderate knowledge of and experience with designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining complex Web-based software systems.

• Moderate experience developing/supporting software applications using Java and more than one of these software technologies: Active Server Pages (ASP), JavaScript, Oracle DBMS, SQL Server DBMS, Visual Basic, JavaScript, MS Access, HTML.

• Moderate experience collaborating with end users to define new Web-based software system requirements.

• Experience authoring or contributing to software-related documentation such as requirements specifications, design documents, technical manuals, and user manuals.

• Able to obtain Public Trust clearance.

• Excellent communication skills.

Additional Provisions:

• Must be able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance

• Pass both a client mandated clearance process to include drug screening, criminal history check and credit check.

• All candidates must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident / Green Card required

• Candidate must have lived in the United States for the past 5 years.

• Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last five years. Military Service excluded. (Exception does not include military family members.)
