Job Description:
The Department of Health Outcomes and Biomedical Informatics (HOBI) at the University of Florida is hiring anOPS Research Software Engineer Assistantto support software development and data processing for electronic health records (EHR) and machine learning projects. The position involves programming, data cleaning and transformation, and contributing to research efforts.
More About This Role
- Write program codes and develop software tools for electronic health records (EHRs) data processing and transformation, and work with internal and external partners as part of their position appointment with HOBI.
- Assist the research team to develop new software for EHR data cleaning, processing, transformation, analysis, and related tasks. Contributions to scientific reports, conference papers and journal articles may be expected, including documentation of method and presentation of data.
- Participate in machine learning model development activities, for example, help identify patient cohorts, extract required data elements, processing and standardize data elements, implement models, and perform evaluation.
Expected Salary:
$20/Hour
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent of education and experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Ideal candidate will be a Master's student in Computer & Information Science & Engineering (CISE)
or recent CISE graduate.
