Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled IT Intern to join our IT department. This is an exciting opportunity for a 2nd or 3rd year Computer Science undergraduate student to gain hands-on experience supporting IT optimization projects and storage infrastructure refresh initiative.
This internship will provide valuable exposure to large-scale infrastructure, networking, and IT systems, while working closely with experienced IT professionals in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the administration and maintenance of enterprise-level storage and network systems.
• Monitor system performance, gather key metrics, and identify potential bottlenecks and issues.
• Assist in troubleshooting technical issues related to networking, storage, and system performance.
• Write scripts and automation tools using Python and JavaScript to streamline IT processes.
• Work on Linux-based systems, managing configurations and optimizing system performance.
• Document processes, workflows, and system changes to support knowledge sharing within the team.
• Collaborate with team members to support day-to-day IT operations.
Position Requirements
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (2nd or 3rd year student).
• Solid understanding of networking concepts.
• Experience with Linux operating systems and systems administration.
• Proficient in Python and JavaScript programming.
• Experience with Docker and container-based systems.
• Knowledge of enterprise-level storage and network infrastructure.
• Knowledge of IT automation tools like Ansible.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred qualifications:
• Previous internship or project experience in IT operations
• Experience with version control systems (Git)
• Understanding of IT security best practices
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools
