is an initiative designed to allow families, alumni, business and community partners, and members of the public to help strengthen bonds with schools across the county. School Volunteers and Volunteer Mentors will work in collaboration with and at the direction of school administrators; they will not be asked to deliver instruction or be present in classrooms.
School Volunteers will provide school administrators with additional sets of eyes and ears in hallways and cafeterias to help students feel more safe and supported.
Volunteer Mentors are positive role models who can provide students with one-on-one encouragement and guidance to enhance their educational experience and personal development.
School Volunteers and Volunteer Mentors will be trained and supported throughout the process.
