Little League International is looking to hire a full-time Operations Specialist in our Williamsport, PA location. This full-time non-exempt position has core hours of Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, you may be eligible to participate in our Flexible Work Arrangement Program. ABOUT LITTLE LEAGUE INTERNATIONAL

Located in South Williamsport, PA, we are the administrative and operational headquarters for Little League Baseball and Softball, the leading nonprofit youth sports organization with 75+ years of history supporting youth baseball and softball. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A DIRECTOR AT LITTLE LEAGUE INTERNATIONAL

As the Operations Specialist, you will provide key operational support for the Operations Department in all areas of programming; be responsible for assisting in the implementation of all programming strategies including market research, engagement, growth, and retention while assisting with key in-person training and events. You will also assist with partner relationships in collaboration with the marketing team and serve as a liaison with the communications team in recommending promotional materials for all web and social media efforts specific to all programming as well as with regional offices for efforts involving our programming efforts and development. Additionally, you will represent the organization at special events, as needed and will provide the highest quality of customer service and engagement.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A OPERATIONS SPECIALIST
  • Bachelor's degree in business, sports administration, marketing, sales, or another related field.
  • A minimum of 0-3 years' relevant work experience which includes working with a youth sports industry, non-profit, educational setting, or marketing.
  • Thorough knowledge of the operation of all Little League programs or ability to learn within 90 days of start date.
  • A commitment to the mission and programs of Little League Baseball and Softball.
  • A commitment to champion diversity and inclusion.
  • Have a passion for holistic youth development through team sports.
  • Enthusiastic personality.
  • Involved in baseball and/or softball-related activities past or present.
  • Team player who is willing to roll-up sleeves and pitch in to help the team succeed.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Must be able to travel when needed to support programming expansion efforts.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral with advanced level presentation skills.
  • High level of initiative, specifically in the areas of promotion and process improvement.
  • Event planning experience.
  • Strong data analytics skills.
  • Results-driven; strives to accomplish goals.
  • Able to build rapport and maintain strong relationships across many demographics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and ability to promote on them appropriately.
  • Must be inclusive and show empathy and understanding for varying degrees of physical and mental disabilities.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and show proof of insurance required by the state.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Previous public speaking experience.
  • Experience playing baseball and/or softball at the High School or Collegiate level recommended.
  • Bilingual or multilingual a plus.
