Job Number: R Operations Research and Systems Analyst The Opportunity: As an operations analyst, you're passionate about exploring the root cause of an issue and then analyzing, reporting, and developing recommendations for a creative solution. We need an experienced research analyst like you to help us solve complex problems for our clients. On our research experimentation team, you'll evaluate data assessment strategies such as informing design of, operational coordination of, and advisement of warfighter experimentation events and facilitating analysis of early technologies for operational considerations to deliver solutions. You won't go at it alone, you'll work alongside industry experts to c ond uct research, prepare graphs and charts, and analyze and interpret programmatic or cost data such as informing the identification and validation of technologies. Once documented, you'll develop program briefs, documentations, presentations, and graphs to present results, collaborate with stakeholders, and participate in various program meetings to improve program efficiency. In this role, you'll use your passion for analytics and statistics to devise modeling and measuring techniques utilizing mathematics, statistical methods, engineering methods, operational mathematics techniques, and other principles and laws of scientific and economic disciplines. You Have: 5+ years of experience with project analytical support or the military in an operations research billet
Experience analyzing data to produce reports and recommendations on improving processes efficiency for U.S. military projects
Experience analyzing, interpreting, and applying operations research rules and procedures in a variety of situations and recommending solutions
Experience collecting, organizing, and entering data into database systems, and analyzing the data for trends or metrics to convey what the data shows
Experience with a chemical or biological defense program
Knowledge of a wide range of principles, concepts, and practices of analysis to apply scientific methods and techniques to analyze systems, processes, or operational problems
Ability to develop, adapt, modify, and apply models to resolve problems or define and clarify alternative solutions
Ability to obtain a Secret clearance Bachelor's degree in Operations Research, Mathematics, Chemical Sciences, or Biological Sciences Nice If You Have: Experience as a former Military ORS or ORSA Officer
Experience advising and assisting with the exploration, monitoring, and analysis of technologies used in warfighter chemical and biological threat experimentations Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
Top Secret clearance Master's degree in Operations Research, Mathematics, Chemical Sciences, or Biological Sciences Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information . Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $69,400.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
