ACTIVE TS/SCI SECURITY CLEARANCE AND POLYGRAPH REQUIRED Join Our Team - Engineer the Future of Monitoring Are you a systems engineer with a passion for observability and automation? We're looking for a skilled and motivated Observability & Monitoring Engineer to help design, integrate, and maintain monitoring solutions across our enterprise infrastructure. You'll work with cutting-edge technologies in a complex, multi-platform environment that spans on-prem and cloud, ensuring visibility, performance, and operational excellence. What You'll Do Design and implement monitoring solutions using tools like Dynatrace, Aternity, and LibreNMS to improve service reliability and performance. Integrate monitoring platforms with enterprise systems using APIs, scripts, plugins, and automation workflows. Maintain and enhance systems across Linux and Windows environments-including upgrades, patching, and system hardening. Support IT operations by analyzing performance trends, managing alerts, and delivering actionable insights. Collaborate across teams to improve system observability and contribute to architecture and deployment strategies. What You Bring Must-Have: 5+ years in IT systems engineering or operations roles. Strong background in both Linux and Windows system administration. Hands-on experience with scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python, YAML). Experience integrating or managing monitoring platforms (e.g., Dynatrace, Aternity, LibreNMS, SolarWinds, or similar). Understanding of cloud services (AWS or Azure). CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire). Nice-to-Have: Bachelor's in Information Systems or related field. Experience with virtualization platforms like VMware, Citrix, Hyper-V, or App-V. Familiarity with network protocols, SNMP, APIs, or log aggregation tools (e.g., ELK stack, Splunk). Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically $135-155k. This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.
