Operations Manager - Cabinetry & Millwork
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Operations Manager to join our team in cabinetry and millwork fabrication. This role is responsible for overseeing the production process, ensuring accuracy in millwork shop drawings, and coordinating with multiple departments to address fabrication or installation challenges. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in wood components, CNC operations, and production management, ensuring high-quality output while maintaining efficiency and safety.
Responsibilities for the Operations Manager:
- Oversee and manage the entire production process, ensuring efficiency and adherence to quality standards.
- Review and approve blueprints and shop drawings prior to production to prevent errors and delays.
- Monitor and enforce quality control standards to ensure finished products meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Collaborate with various departments to identify and resolve fabrication or installation challenges.
- Conduct detailed take-offs and prepare materials for production.
- Manage and control production costs while maintaining high-quality output.
- Implement and refine production procedures to optimize workflow and efficiency.
- Continuously assess and improve manufacturing processes to align with customer demands and industry standards.
Requirements of the Operations Manager:
- 5 years of experience in Production/Operations Management within millwork, cabinetry, or wood components manufacturing.
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, architectural drawings, and shop drawings.
- Proficiency in millwork, cabinetry, windows, and doors.
- Hands-on experience with CNC operations and programming.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to coordinate with teams and drive productivity.
- Ability to analyze production data, control costs, and implement process improvements.
