We're seeking an Operations Manager to play an integral role within our contract, delivering a first-class service and achieving excellent results.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?
  1. Managing day-to-day operational activities to fulfill customer requirements OTIF to specification
  2. Ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulatory bodies
  3. Maintaining and promoting a health & safety culture across the site
  4. Controlling and monitoring IT tools such as RP, BY, APOS
  5. Monitoring resource levels across the site in line with budgets and productivity targets
  6. Managing and improving performance management systems
  7. Engaging with unions to facilitate collaboration between management and staff to meet operational goals
  8. Planning corrective action meetings and preparing responses for audits
  9. Supporting CSR initiatives across the site
  10. Establishing effective communication processes for internal and external customers
  11. Reviewing, developing, and improving operational processes in line with DfT guidelines
  12. Proactively managing KPIs to drive continuous improvement in service levels and cost performance
  13. Collaborating with H&S and Food Technical teams to ensure food safety standards are met
  14. Supporting safety audits and implementation plans with the Food Technical team
  15. Minimizing train delays caused by operational errors
  16. Delivering PI initiatives to help the site achieve commercial goals
  17. Managing financial and non-financial KPIs and Gainshare targets
  18. Managing budgets
  19. Performing HR functions as required
  20. Leading and supporting employee engagement initiatives
  21. Training and developing the operations team from management to colleagues
  22. Managing sickness and absence in accordance with HR guidelines
WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

  • Experience in catering logistics or warehouse logistics operations
  • Middle management experience
  • IT literacy, especially in Excel data management and analysis
