NG Bailey Facilities Services is seeking an experienced and commercially focused Operations Manager to oversee a diverse portfolio of static and foot mobile engineering contracts in the Liverpool Street area. This key leadership role involves full operational accountability and influencing the future of our business through contract re-tendering and new bid activities.

You will be responsible for operational delivery, ensuring engineering teams meet high standards of performance, compliance, and customer satisfaction. Collaboration with Contract Managers, engineers, and clients will be essential to ensure smooth operations, with a focus on commercial outcomes, margin enhancement, and effective WIP management.

You will also work with our bid team on pricing and proposals, playing a crucial role in re-tendering current contracts and securing new business opportunities.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Leading operational delivery across multiple contracts on static and mobile sites.
2. Managing P&L and driving margin performance with accurate financial forecasting and WIP management.
3. Supporting contract re-tendering and collaborating on new bids.
4. Building and maintaining trusted relationships with clients as a senior point of contact.
5. Promoting safety, compliance, and continuous service improvement.
6. Ensuring teams are trained, competent, and technically capable.
7. Overseeing technical standards and risk mitigation across the portfolio.

Qualifications and experience:

1. Proven leadership in facilities or engineering contract operations, ideally with 10+ years' experience.
2. Strong commercial acumen with experience managing WIP, P&L, and contract performance.
3. Experience managing static and mobile engineering teams in demanding environments.
4. Ability to contribute to bids, pricing, and contract renewal strategies.
5. Excellent communication skills and relationship-building abilities.
6. Knowledge of CAFM systems and relevant legislation on building services and compliance.
