About Us: This position is for a small but growing catering company based in Honolulu, HI, known for our fresh and high-quality offerings, including sushi and other specialty cuisine. The company is looking for a motivated and hands-on Operations Manager to oversee their day-to-day operations and help them continue to grow and deliver exceptional service to their clients.
Job Summary: As the Operations Manager, you'll wear many hats-from taking catering orders to managing inventory, handling billing and invoicing, and occasionally making deliveries or supply runs. Key Responsibilities: - Manage catering orders, scheduling and customer communication
- Oversee daily operations, staff, and workflow
- Handle inventory control and supply ordering
- Manage billing, invoicing, accounts payable & receivable
- Perform general administrative duties
- Occasionally run errands for supplies or make deliveries
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and assist when needed
- Maintain clear records and contribute to process improvements
Qualifications: - Previous experience in operations, office management, or catering is a plus
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Comfortable with billing software and basic accounting tasks (QuickBooks)
- Valid driver's license (required)
- Sushi-making experience is a plus, but not required
- Willingness to learn sushi prep is a big plus
