Bilingual Operations Manager (Spanish/English) - School Facility Services
Location: Durham, NC (On-site, regional travel required across the Mid-Atlantic)
Compensation:
$65,000 - $80,000/year + benefits
About the Opportunity:
We're supporting a leading commercial services provider in their search for a Bilingual Operations Manager to join their School Facility Services division. This is a critical leadership role focused on field operations, project coordination, and team oversight for large-scale painting and light construction projects across educational facilities.
The ideal candidate is fluent in Spanish and English, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple crews and projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full scope of commercial painting and construction projects-from scheduling to completion
- Assign crews and oversee field productivity across multiple sites
- Track and order materials, including long-lead items
- Conduct walk-throughs and site visits to monitor quality and client satisfaction
- Partner with sales and estimating teams to support bid development and job costing
- Monitor labor and material usage to ensure profitability
- Identify training needs and address safety concerns in collaboration with HR
- Maintain strong relationships with clients through responsive communication and service excellence
Required Qualifications:
- Bilingual - Fluent in Spanish and English (Required)
- 3+ years of experience in operations or field management, ideally within commercial painting, construction, or facilities services
- Proven ability to manage multiple crews and job sites simultaneously
- Strong knowledge of paint estimating and commercial project workflows
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable reading blueprints and project drawings
- Tech-savvy: proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and mobile applications
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Willing to travel throughout the Mid-Atlantic region as needed
- OSHA and CPR certifications preferred
