Youll have overall responsibility for plant assets, personnel, and the achievement of plant-related business, site, and corporate goals. In this role, you will provide both tactical direction through daily actions and strategic direction through vision, goal setting, and mentoring.

What Youll Be Doing



  • Leading the Chicago Heights Production team, and collaborating with Quality Assurance, Scheduling, Inventory, Resource Planning, Logistics/Warehouse, and Maintenance.

  • Driving continuous improvement and alignment in all operational aspects.

  • Ensuring compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental standards and fostering a culture of safety.

  • Developing metrics and management systems for continuous improvement in health, safety, environmental, and reliability performance.

  • Managing the Mechanical Integrity program to ensure safe operations.

  • Conducting timely investigations and implementing corrective and preventative actions.

  • Supporting personnel development, motivation, and policy setting to foster a commitment to continuous improvement.

  • Coordinating new product introductions and addressing existing formulation production concerns.

  • Operating the facility within financial guidelines and tracking production variances.

  • Identifying opportunities for product quality improvement and driving related initiatives.



What Youll Bring to the Job



  • A Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (Chemical preferred).

  • At least 10 years of chemical manufacturing experience, with batch processing a plus.

  • A minimum of 5 years of leadership experience.

  • Has experience working in a plant operating under PSM regulations (OSHA 29 CFR 1910) with a proven record of Health, Safety & Environmental performance.

  • Continuous improvement and efficiency methodologies (like Six Sigma, LEAN, Root Cause Analysis, Scrum, etc.).

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to develop actionable recommendations.

  • Must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer without sponsorship now or in the future.
