Description Join Leidos in the Digital Modernization Sector as an Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Network Engineer. In this pivotal role, you will support diverse wide area networks (WANs) and local area networks (LANs), providing enterprise-level infrastructure routing across multiple classifications. We are looking for subject matter experts in routing technologies across various vendors.
Key Responsibilities: - Manage the operations and maintenance of Juniper and Cisco routers, including extensive troubleshooting at layer 2 and layer 3, and implementation of routing changes.
- Troubleshoot network issues involving connectivity, latency, and asymmetric routing.
- Implement and troubleshoot issues related to routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, MPLS, VRF's, and VPN's.
- Facilitate technical exchange meetings to resolve issues with other ISPs and application owners.
- Conduct root cause analysis of recurring issues as part of problem management efforts.
- Provide daily Operations and Maintenance (O&M) support for incident management events and outages.
- Collaborate with IT staff on various projects and initiatives.
- Work with technical support teams to address network traffic concerns.
- Utilize monitoring tools and log collectors to perform in-depth analysis of traffic anomalies and issues.
- Be available for after-hours on-call support on a rotational basis.
- Experience with Palo Alto, Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA), and Forcepoint firewall equipment and applications is a plus.
Qualifications: - Active TS/SCI with CI Poly.
- A total of 16 years of experience, which may be a combination of work history and education: Doctorate and 8 years, Master's and 10 years, Bachelor's and 12 years, Associate's and 14 years, or HS diploma and 16 years.
- Compliance with DoD 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2 Certification (e.g., Security+).
Additional Qualifications: - Proven experience configuring and troubleshooting Juniper and Cisco routers and switches.
- Knowledge of protocols such as OSPF, BGP, VPN's, VRF's, and MPLS.
- Strong understanding of routing, switching, Internet Protocol (IP) subnetting, Network Address Translation (NAT), and security technologies.
- Ability to engineer and modify rulesets to allow connectivity for new customer requirements.
- Competence in reading, understanding, and developing schematic diagrams, technical manuals, and documentation for equipment and software maintenance.
- Familiarity with Service Now or similar IT Service Management (ITSM) products.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.

Pay Range: $89,700.00 - $162,150.00
