Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience. Marketing, Management or Communications Degree preferred.
  • 7+ years in a sales-driven environment with consumer-based packaged goods and selling experience preferred.
  • Must have valid US Passport and be willing to travel internationally.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Experience with multiple channels of distribution preferred.
  • Experience with Walmart operations and systems preferred.
  • Preferably has previous strong facilitation, organizational/communication skills (oral and written), and strong computer and analytical skills.
  • Positive attitude with ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work independently, self-starter, energetic.
  • Position will require a reliable means of travel (accommodations are available where they may apply).
  • Travel expectations are a minimum of every other week (2-3 nights per trip)
Job Summary:

The Ops and International Sales position has a dual-focus in two areas: Development and Execution of our approved retail strategy in Walmart stores, as well as Pioneering New Business by Building Relationships with the Walmart and Sam's Club international teams. This position will be responsible for implementing requested programs within each segment and coordinating sales and marketing activities with our current sales team, internal partners and chosen PSP.

Essential Job Duties:
  • Operations Role:
    • Identify potential opportunities and needs. Uncover continuous improvement opportunities to expand their business utilizing our complete portfolio of products.
    • Must be a self-motivated, proactive person.
    • Develop water programs and sell sheets to encourage additional inventory and secondary positions on the retail sales floor (garden center, seasonal aisle, action alley, endcaps, etc.)
    • Actively engage with Walmart Market and Regional leadership in their markets and participate in their meetings when suppliers are invited.
    • Maintain a current contact list of Walmart Operations leadership.
    • Develop reporting to aid in sell-in programs and monitor results of active programs.
    • Manage and Develop Walmart Preferred Service Providers (PSPs) to help validate modular integrity and execute approved programs that maximize sales on our full portfolio
  • International Role:
    • Develop business opportunities in (but not limited to) Mexico, Canada, and Puerto Rico
    • Build contacts and improve relationships with Walmart merchants in respective countries.
    • Own, organize, and manage projects and initiatives throughout the process.
    • Be the primary person of contact with all external and internal partners and/or customers.
    • Ensure all forms and deadlines are completed in a timely manner.
    • Develop reporting for presentations purposes and execution validation.
  • All roles:
    • Work collaboratively on forecasts with customer and plants associated.
    • Ensure customer satisfaction by utilizing our full team support to build strong relationships.
    • Coordinate follow-up to include all sales, strategy, production and payment terms.
    • Work closely with customer service, transportation, logistics, accounts receivable, quality assurance, procurement, graphic design and production to ensure lean business.
    • Regularly communicate with Senior Sales personnel to discuss programs, pricing, competitive activity and opportunities.
    • Reviews accounts receivable with accounts receivable partner to ensure timely and accurate payment.
