The Incumbent performs a variety of clerical duties requiring knowledge of shop routine and an understanding of the organization, programs, and procedures related to the work of the assigned shop.

Keeps supervisor apprised of unique situations and problems encountered and identify and reports safety, environmental and other work requirements for resolution.

Responsibilities
  • Inputs data from work documents for assigned shops, which could include labor hours and associated trade codes, any notes pertaining to specified work.
  • Coordinates with shop personnel in the identification of materials, parts and Prepares Purchase Requisitions and submits to Procurement for purchase.
  • Conducts market Locates materials, parts, and equipment and identifies a vendor based on the availability of the item. Researches and provides prices estimates.
  • Keeps Shop Supervisor apprised of anticipated receiving dates of material, parts and assemblies in accordance with the Purchase Requisition.
  • Coordinates with Shop Supervisor on overdue materials, tracks the delivery of material(s), and maintain applicable reports.
  • PerformsHazardousMaterialManagementSystem dataentryandprovidesmanagement and coordination of Safety Data Sheets including initiating requests for updates and new items along with maintaining tracking labels, reviewing monthly tracking report and reporting consumed Hazardous Materials (Haz-Mat).
  • Ensures Haz-Mat authorizations (AF Form 3952) are maintained, reviewed and updated as required.
  • Keeps track of all assigned work documents and provides up-to-date status to Supervisor of assigned shop.
  • Review correspondence memorandums for completeness and format.
  • Prints, sorts and distributes a variety of work documents for use by Supervisor or shop
  • Maintains and files all completed work documents such as work orders and preventive maintenance task documents for assigned shop.
  • Coordinates with Shop Supervisor in obtaining estimates for repair of
  • Answer phones, distribute messages and delivers and retrieves daily.
  • Process and deliver request for office.
  • Pick-up and delivery of parts and equipment to and from shop.
  • Frequently scans documents, as as required.
  • Interfaces with customers and responsible for customer feedback, as applicable.
  • Operates motor vehicles in accordance with company vehicle
  • Complies with applicable federal, state, United States Air Force (USAF) and Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) environmental laws and regulations.
  • Complies with health and safety rules and procedures; performs work in a manner that enhances the safety of the work environment.
  • Incumbent will at all times wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as determined by position and duties.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Accurate, timely, and cost-effective performance of duties.
  • Working harmoniously with customers and fellow co-workers.
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality of all Akima related matters.
  • Accountable for assigned tools, materials and equipment.
  • Cleanliness and safety of shop and work areas.
  • Maintains a safe and healthy work environment within the shops and company vehicles.
Qualifications
  • Must have a minimum of a High School diploma or equivalency.
  • Must have a valid state driver's license, acceptable driving record, and proof of valid insurance.
  • Must have demonstrated skills in using various computer software, including ability to use the Windows operating system as well as common office software such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat and Civil Engineering Data Management System.
  • Must have a minimum of two (2) years clerical experience
  • Must maintain a minimum of all necessary licenses/IDs/certifications.
  • Must have the ability to solve problems and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to adapt to changes in technology.
  • Must be able to deal with a variety of people in a professional & courteous manner in diverse situations.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Candidate MUST have a Read ID in order to interview and/or start.
Desired Qualification
  • Four (4) years clerical
  • Military experience.
  • Previous experience working on a military installation.
  • Experience working on Tinker Familiarity with military-specific facility/infrastructure codes and standards, as applicable.
  • Previous HAZMAT Experience.
This position may currently and/or in the future be required to obtain and retain a favorable National Agency Check (NAC) and/or Personal Clearance (PCL) as required by law or contract Position.
