Under general direction provided by a Supervisor or Principal Claim Auditor, the Office Technician (Typing) will perform general office duties in the Operations Bureau as they relate to the processing of claim schedules. This requires a high degree of initiative and independence in completing assigned tasks. Incumbents are expected to maintain p rofessional and effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
Duties performed:
(Candidates must perform the following functions with or without reasonable accommodations.)
• Receive contracts and amendments from agencies (paper and electronic), visually scanning for key data as required.
• Accurately enter data into the Contracts/Leases Database and save contracts submitted via email into the SharePoint database.
• Maintain the contracts filing system, evaluating contract file content and purging outdated information.
• Deliver, pickup, and/or receive claims and other documents, stamping and coding each claim, sorting by date for release and distributing to appropriate audit units.
• Enter claim information into the Claim Audits Tracking System (CATS).
• Process cash transfer letters for submission to the State Accounting and Reporting Division (SARD).
• Review claim correction/return letters for mathematical, grammar, and spelling errors prior to mailing them.
• Verify claim information is accurate in the Mainframe System.
• Schedule State Records Center claim pickups as per record retention requirements and recall paid claims from archive per Public Records Act.
• Maintain daily and monthly statistical information.
• Provide support services for all Bureau staff, including answering telephone inquiries pertaining to claims.
