Position Overview
We are seeking an Operations & Trading Associate to support our advisor partners and internal teams in executing trades, facilitating operational workflows, and ensuring platform execution. This role requires strong attention to detail, technical fluency, and a professional communication style.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and is eager to learn about wealth management technology and advisory firm operations.
Role Functions
- Promptly execute trade requests and ensure timely processing of transactions on behalf of advisors
- Monitor and manage operational workflows, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in account processing
- Troubleshoot and resolve trading or operational issues in collaboration with internal teams and advisors
- Assist with client onboarding, including data validation and account setup
- Work cross-functionally with support, product, and development teams to identify and implement process improvements
- Document client notes and actions to enable cross-team support
- Maintain compliant with regulatory and firm policies in all operational tasks
- Communicate effectively with advisors, their clients, and internal stakeholders to provide clear, professional support
Role Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in finance, business, or a related field
- 1-3 years of experience in operations, trading, wealth management, or a similar role (preferred but not required)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to learn new systems and workflows quickly
- Professional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and adaptable mindset
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience with portfolio trading, rebalancing, or advisor-focused investment platforms
- Familiarity with custodial platforms and trading workflows
- Exposure to investment advisory operations, particularly in a tech-enabled environment
- Comfort with data analysis and reporting tools
