Role:
Sourcerock is seeking to hire an Operations and Accounting Associate based out of its headquarters in Denver, CO. The role will be a new addition to the growing firm and join the business team assisting in a wide range of responsibilities across operations, accounting and compliance.
Job Description:
- Assist in daily cash and position reconciliations to the street and fund administrators.
- Work closely with the Sourcerock' s trade counterparties and prime brokers on trade settlements.
- Take lead in maintaining shadow books and records for the Fund's via the firm's portfolio management interface.
- Assist in reconciling month end NAV reporting from the Fund's third-party administrators and month end close of the management company as needed.
- Assist the Director of Finance in the treasury functions for both the Funds and the management company, including cash management, budgeting and soft dollar management.
- Assist in updating and maintaining investor relations and marketing collateral
- Assist in maintaining and monitoring risk management reporting and portfolio research database
- Assist in preparation of year-end financial statements and tax return preparation of the Funds.
- Work with trader on trade allocations and counterparty communication, as needed.
- Work with Director of Finance and CCO on regulatory filings, as needed.
- Become an integral member of a small team to continue to institutionalize the non-investment aspects of the business.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required, with degree (or significant coursework) in Accounting, Finance, or Economics preferred.
- 1-4 years of experience of fund operations, fund accounting and/or investment management operations experience.
- Experience with commodity operations a plus.
- Strong Excel skills, programming skills a plus
- Interest in financial markets, instruments and portfolio management strategies.

Annual Compensation Range: $75,000-$95,000, depending on experience
