The Role:
As Operations & Performance Manager, you ll play a vital leadership role, ensuring smooth delivery of operational services and championing improvements in performance and process. Acting as the right hand to the Head of Operations & Performance, you ll provide oversight of a busy admin function and help drive the mobilisation of new services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support a team of 22+ administrators via 3 team leads, a supervisor and a training lead
- Ensure service delivery meets ICB/NHS contractual requirements
- Streamline admin workflows and reporting, ensuring efficiency and compliance
- Resolve operational challenges and support clinicians with scheduling, rotas, and onboarding
- Use data and performance reports to identify risks, propose solutions, and implement change
- Contribute to business planning and service development initiatives
- Drive a strong team culture built on accountability, empowerment and service excellence
About You:
Essential:
- Experience managing operations within a healthcare setting (NHS, private, or community)
- Strong understanding of patient pathways and service delivery models
- Line management experience, ideally including team leads/supervisors
- Proactive problem-solver with solid communication and people skills
- Familiarity with service reporting, KPIs and data validation
- Track record of implementing change and process improvement
Desirable:
- Experience with SystemOne or similar patient systems
- Knowledge of outpatient and surgical administration workflows
- Experience working with or mobilising new services/contracts
