We are currently looking for an Operational Intelligence - Software Engineer to join the ITSM division's Operational Intelligence team. The Operational Intelligence team creates value for stakeholders by elevating each team's data-driven decision-making capabilities through automation of metric and KPI data collection and reporting. The Operational Intelligence - Software Engineer will:
  • Design and build data pipelines to support function, service, process metrics and KPI's. Pipelines can include data streams, ETL processes, API's, databases, machine learning, AI, and other integrations.
  • Work closely with process owners, service owners, functional teams, and executive sponsors collecting operational metric and KPI requirements.
  • Design and build process automation and system integrations that are measurable to advance strategic projects and measures.
  • Build and maintain data collection workflows using Power Automate and Python for rapid development and prototyping.
  • Design and develop datasets in SQL and Power BI to enable stakeholders to develop self-serve reports, dashboards, and data-driven decision-making experiences.
  • Work closely with data engineering teams to evolve production data pipelines and datasets.
  • In addition to designing and building data-centric workflows, process automation to assist stakeholders and sponsors is a big part of this job. This role includes hands-on development as well as being an SME that can coach and mentor others in the organization to elevate their processes as well using a variety of tools and methods.
  • Join Zions Power Automate and ServiceNow Citizen Development programs as contributor and SME/liaison with Operational Intelligence team.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Object Oriented Development experience.
  • SQL Relational Modeling experience.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Python experience is a plus.
  • Dimensional Modeling experience is a plus.
  • Power Automate experience is a plus.
  • Power BI, Excel, Pivot Table, or similar experience is a plus.
  • Experience with machine learning and AI a plus.
  • SharePoint and ServiceNow experience a plus.
  • ITIL training and certifications a plus.
  • Requires a bachelor's in computer science, Computer Engineering, Math or equivalent and 2+ yrs of experience in modern programming languages, building APIs and services, orchestrating applications, build automation technologies or other directly related experience.
  • A combination of education and experience may meet job requirements.
