Position Type: Full-time Position Location: Onsite Clearance Required: Secret (must be able to obtain a higher clearance if needed) Waypoint's client is seeking an Air and Missile Defense (AMD) Operating System (OS) Product Owner (PO) to join the Army Program Executive Office Missiles and Space (PEO MS) Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office. In this role, the OS PO will be responsible for prioritizing and validating Operating System and IBCS Software applications supporting the OS team. The PO will review and understand systems engineering concepts, designs, and algorithms for secure systems, and provide guidance to the development team. Additionally, the PO will collaborate with the Cyber team to ensure a hardened cyber posture for the system network. This position will involve working closely with Program Management to set priorities for capabilities and defects in each product increment and sprint, while providing technical briefings, demonstrations, and advisement to leadership. Responsibilities : Prioritize and validate Operating System and IBCS Software applications for the OS team Review and understand systems engineering concepts, designs, and algorithms of secure systems Provide guidance to the development team on OS-related software applications and security considerations Work with the Cyber team to ensure a secure, hardened cyber posture for the system network Collaborate with Program Management to set priorities for capabilities and defects for each product increment and sprint Conduct technical briefings, demonstrations, and provide advisement to leadership Report on project status, performance, competing capabilities, risks, and impacts to the IFMC mission Requirements : A bachelor's degree (or higher) in engineering, science, or mathematics from an accredited institution (ABET preferred) Minimum of 7 years of combined Government/DoD experience in systems engineering or software development related to Operating Systems and security Strong understanding of Operating Systems (Linux and Windows) and OS-related development tools Knowledge of Zero Trust security models and IBCS supportive software applications Solid networking foundation and experience with OS security considerations Proven ability to collaborate with Agile software development teams to meet deadlines and program objectives Strong interpersonal skills for working with development teams, customers, contractors, and subcontractors Knowledge of IBCS, PATRIOT, MEADS, THAAD, C2BMC, or AEGIS systems is a plus Experience with JIRA/Confluence tools Agilist Certification is a plus Strong leadership, critical thinking, and team-oriented attitude Must be able to maintain a Secret security clearance or higher Waypoint Human Capital is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
