We are looking for a talented and experienced OpenShift/Kubernetes SME who is highly skilled and can work independently.
They will be responsible for defining and implement DevOps strategy, define and implement NFRs that includes high availability for OpenShift clusters, Disaster recovery, Backup & restore.
Job responsibilities - Work closely with client to understand requirements and problem statements. Advise on strategies and solutions for the same
- Help client move from POC phase to production ready and production rollout phase
- Define standards and patterns for efficient and consistent containers deployments and orchestration.
- Define standards and patterns for efficient and consistent OCP platform initiation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization.
- Provide subject matter expertise, thought-leadership and architecture support to client in areas like OpenShift, DevOps, Security Infrastructure management and Migration
- Understand and elaborate non-functional requirements (NFRs) for containerized workloads and OpenShift infrastructure
- Define strategy and guidance to implement NFRs
- Provide updates on new Red Hat OpenShift capabilities, roadmaps and best practices.
- Help troubleshoot issues and solve problems where needed
Required skills - Minimum 10+ years of experience
- At least 3-5+ years of experience working with OpenShift and Docker
- Strong understanding of OpenShift / Kubernetes architecture and services
- Knowledge and experience in OpenShift/containers security concepts and implementation
- Experience in container images deployment & release management with Openshift and/or Kubernetes.
- Dev(Sec)Ops proficiency regarding Containerization eco system and configuration of the platform
- Experience in Openshift / Kubernetes high availability and disaster recovery across data centres
- Installation, configuration, and development of applications using OpenShift, including in a production environment
- Strong understanding and practical experience on DevOps and CI/CD implementation
- Strong understanding and practical experience of deployment strategy including blue-green, Canary, Rolling etc
- Strong understanding and practical experience on observability (logging, monitoring, tracing) for containerized applications
- Experience setting up OpenShift cluster on any one of the public clouds using IaC tools like Terraform, ARM template or CloudFormation
- Good understanding on cloud storages for Openshift clusters
Preferred skills - In-depth Understanding of OpenShift development, which includes extending API server, defining CRDs
- Knowledge of hybrid cloud environments
- Proficient in Agile methodologies
- Sound knowledge of operator development using Ansible or Golang
- Expertise in Linux
- Comfortable collaborating with team-mates working from around the globe
- CKAD/Red Hat Openshift Application development/deployment certification
- Certification from Azure, AWS, or GCP will be a bonus.
