Job Description We are looking for Customer Support Specialists for our client in Fairmont. This position could respond by phone and in writing to customer service type inquiries that are received via the corporate website, Facebook, X or via inbound calls. You will respond to a variety of customer inquiries including but not limited to outage information, billing questions/disputes, credit information, company products and other customer inquiries.
Position Details: - $18/hour
- Monday-Friday 8am-5pm plus overtime as needed

Responsibilities: - Resolve customer issues and requests in a prompt, courteous and professional manner by using effective communication
- Assisting customers in a calm, courteous and professional manner
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely
- Detail oriented with analytical skills and problem-solving ability
- Achieve customer satisfaction on all customer inquiries across multiple communication channels that may include phone, Contact Us, social media inquiries, fax/letters, and DFO
- Strive for first contact resolution
- Create trouble and miscellaneous notifications, perform account maintenance, perform appropriate process, and respond to customer inquiries correctly
- Provide customer service by exceeding customer needs, good individual judgement and responding to all customer concerns
- Demonstrate independent analysis and individual judgement involving customer concerns
- Taking initiative to solve problems and bring issues to closure
- Promote and improve self-serve interactions
- Actively keep self-service process improvement in mind with a willingness to share new ideas
- Strong written communication skills with ability to respond to customer inquiries with correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling Provide sound internal/external customer service
- Developing effective working relationships with employees in own work group
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work varying schedules to meet service level
- Assist with storm duty activities as required and overtime as assigned
- Attend training as required
- Able to work flexible hours and overtime
- Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs
Qualifications: - High school diploma or GED required
- Strong customer service experience preferred
- Ability to sit as desk and be on phone for long periods of time
- Basic computer and keyboard skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents and technical instructions
- Ability to accurately calculate figures and amounts
