Oncology Hospitalist opening in New YorkAbout Position:Located in Newburgh/Middletown, NY - New York 70mFull-time, permanent positionSeeking a dedicated, patient-centric full-time Oncology Hospitalist to join our growing team in the New York suburbsThis is a hospital-based position, providing care for Crystal Run s oncology patients.This role will work 5 days per week, Monday-Friday 9am-5pmCall every 7 weekends or longer (depending on staffing levels2 days off following every weekend of callWill cover two hospitals St. Luke s in Newburgh and Garnet Medical Center in Middletown.Patient census diverse adult-focused patient population (18+).Primary Responsibilities:Commonly treated conditions include but are not limited to: Disorders of Red or White Blood Cells, Anemia, Sickle Cell Anemia, Thalassemia, Hemochromatosis, Bleeding and Clotting Disorders, Hematologic Malignancies, and all common types of cancerConsult with patients about the status of their health, while providing them with the latest advancements in careMultidisciplinary collaborationRefer patients to advanced specialists as neededExamine & diagnose patients to determine the need for treatment/procedure/surgery, oversight of all treatment prior to and post-surgery, and identify associated risksOrder tests and interpret results to determine the best treatment optionsMaintain appropriate medical records and resultsRequired Qualifications:Completion of (or in process of completing) accredited relevant fellowship training programBC/BE in Hematology/Oncology or Medical OncologyUnrestricted New York State Medical License (or ability to obtain)Current New York State DEA certificate (or ability to obtain)Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationCompensations and Benefits:Guaranteed, competitive compensation model based on quality, not quantity, with significant earning potential, annual increases, and bonus eligibilityFinancial stability and support of a Fortune 5 CompanyRobust retirement offerings including employer funded contributions and Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP for UHG Stock)Physician partnership opportunities and incentivesGenerous PTO packagesComprehensive benefits plan inclusive of medical, dental, vision, STD/LTD, CME and malpractice coverageRobust clinician learning and development programsAbout Location:Middletown is a vibrant community life with a mix of cultural events, arts, and civic organizations, fostering a sense of belonging and togetherness.
