Breast Medical OncologistFull TimeNew Orleans 40mJOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTSScheduled Weekly Hours: 40JOB SUMMARY: Provide compassionate, high-quality care for patients through the entire course of cancer treatment. Prescribe systemic treatments and care coordination with other physicians involved in management of cancer care. Position focus is on the management of breast cancer patients in close collaboration with fellowship-trained breast surgeons, reconstructive surgeons, radiation oncologists, and radiologists. NAPBC accredited program with a comprehensive support team that includes a high-risk breast program, nurse navigators, integrative therapy, and multi-disciplinary clinics. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Medical Degree from an ACGME accredited schoolMust be licensed by the Louisiana State board of Medical ExaminersSuccessful completion of Hematology Oncology fellowship and Board Certification/ Board Eligible in Medical Oncology and HematologyEpic experience a plusPractice-based learning and improvementPatient care and procedural skillsSystems-based practiceAppropriate medical knowledgeInterpersonal and communication skillsProfessionalismPHYSICAL DEMANDS:Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. Lifting at least 10 pounds is required.
