Job Title: Oncology Nurse Practitioner

About the Facility:

This 127-bed, Level III Trauma Hospital offers comprehensive oncology services, including:

  • Radiation therapy, chemotherapy, and medical oncology

  • Cancer support services and clinical trials

  • A newly designed 19-chair infusion room

  • In-house pharmacy, nurse navigation, and radiation oncology

  • Onsite lab services

  • A highly skilled, collegial, and dedicated nurse infusion team

Position Overview:
  • Full-time position with four ten-hour shifts (No nights or weekends)

  • Paid call shared equally

  • Primarily outpatient care with occasional inpatient consults

  • Work alongside 1 NP and 2 Oncologists in a collaborative setting

  • Serve as an integral part of the patient care team, performing tasks and procedures aligned with advanced practice licensure

Key Qualifications:
  • Active & clear license in State

  • Active DEA certification

  • Board Certified (AOCNP)

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in oncology (No new graduates)

  • Proficiency in EPIC and other clinical software

  • Strong clinical acumen, interpersonal skills, and team-oriented mindset

  • Ability to work independently while maintaining collaboration with referring physicians

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities

  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing job requirements

  • Organizational and time management skills

  • Professional demeanor with a commitment to quality, evidence-based patient care

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and stretching

  • Quick reaction time to unexpected patient care needs

  • Adequate hearing, vision (including color), and fine motor skills

  • Ability to assist patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning

  • Compliance with standard precautions due to exposure risks

  • Effective communication in-person, via phone, and written formats

Additional Information:

This is a permanent, full-time position requiring residency in the immediate local area. Relocation may be required.
