Job Title: Administrative Assistant - Internship


Overview

The Administrative Assistant Intern provides essential support to an organization's administrative team, ensuring smooth office operations while gaining valuable hands-on experience in business administration. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates looking to develop organizational, communication, and office management skills.


Pay: $16.00 per hour


Internship Details

  • Part-time or full-time
  • In-office
  • The office is located in Baytown, Texas

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with general office tasks, including data entry, filing, and document management
  • Respond to emails and phone inquiries professionally
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and events
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and spreadsheets as needed
  • Maintain and update company records and databases
  • Support HR and finance teams with administrative tasks
  • Order office supplies and assist with inventory management
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Business Administration, Office Management, or a related field
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Prior administrative or office experience is a plus but not required

Other Requirements

  • A clean background check
  • Pass pre-employment and ongoing drug and alcohol screenings.

  • Schedule/attendance requirements are not flexible
  • This position will share an office with the accounting team
