On-Call Behavioral Health Specialist Location: El Paso, Texas Rate: $55/hour (1099 contract) Shifts: 12-Hour Day or Night Shifts (as needed/on-call) Make an Impact Where It Matters Most Blue Rose Consulting Group, Inc. (Blue Rose) is seeking On-Call Behavioral Health Specialists to support the mental health and emotional well-being of children in DHS custody at federal facilities in El Paso, TX. This flexible, as-needed role is ideal for licensed professionals looking to contribute to a high-impact mission while maintaining schedule flexibility. You will work alongside fellow clinicians to deliver trauma-informed care in high-pressure settings where clinical judgment, compassion, and professionalism are critical. What You'll Do As an On-Call Behavioral Health Specialist, you will provide behavioral health support within CBP processing centers. Your responsibilities will include assessing child well-being, responding to crises, supporting care decisions, and ensuring child-centered, trauma-informed interventions. Core Responsibilities Serve as a behavioral health point of contact for facility staff Conduct rounds to assess emotional and behavioral well-being of children Provide trauma-informed crisis intervention and de-escalation support Guide staff in managing behavioral health needs through best practices Collaborate with CBP, HHS ORR, NGOs, and healthcare providers to coordinate care Assist in clinical decisions related to medical, psychological, or developmental needs Document all behavioral health encounters and maintain accurate clinical records Recommend improvements to support safer, more responsive care environments Schedule & Shift Details This position is on-call and shift-based: 12-hour shifts: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM or 8:00 PM - 8:00 AM Shifts are scheduled based on facility needs and candidate availability Includes potential weekend, holiday, or short-notice assignments Requirements Master's or Doctoral degree in a behavioral health field Active, unrestricted license as one of the following: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW/LICSW) Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Licensed Psychologist (LP) At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in: Child development Trauma-informed care Clinical evaluations Experience in team-based or high-urgency clinical settings Spanish/English bilingual preferred (minimum ILR 3/5 or equivalent) Ability to work effectively in dynamic, evolving environments Why Join Blue Rose?
