Position Overview
We are seeking a Global Oil Supply Specialist to join the Global Analysis Department (GAD) within the Strategy & Market (SMA) organization. The core function of SMA is to advise management and guide other departments on energy markets, macroeconomic outlooks, oil pricing, international policies, regulations, and economic evaluations, supporting business planning and strategy.
The specialist will provide global oil supply outlooks in the short, medium, and long term, forecast Saudi Aramco's crude oil production, monitor regulations affecting the oil business, and develop sophisticated models for forecasts.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze the supply side of global and regional oil markets, understanding supply issues, trade flows, and implications for markets and operations.
- Develop robust supply forecasts considering fiscal, investment, political factors, asset nature, and decline rates.
- Deliver detailed country analyses on factors affecting oil supply, including reserves, discoveries, infrastructure, and crude quality.
- Analyze well, field, and basin reports to determine production statistics.
- Track macroeconomic, energy, and company-related information through reports and news flows.
- Maintain an extensive network of contacts, including advisors, banks, oil companies, think tanks, and academics.
- Respond to supply-related queries and represent SMA and GAD at Saudi Aramco events to promote understanding of the energy industry.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management, or Engineering
- MBA, Master of Energy Economics, or PhD preferred
- Minimum 15 years of experience in the energy industry, especially upstream oil and gas, with at least 5 years in modeling and forecasting for large oil consultancies
- Strong understanding of upstream oil and gas drivers
- Effective communication skills across diverse professional backgrounds
- Ability to work independently on unstructured tasks and with multidisciplinary teams
