Description of Job Duties

The Student Graphic Designer will work directly with the Director of Creative Services to update and complete marketing publications for the College. An example of projects the Student Graphic Designer will be working on are (but not limited to) brochures, postcards, ads, online ads, posters, event programs, etc.

1. Use InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop to make changes, and create and complete projects in a timely manner.

2. Communicate effectively with supervisor via email or Teams if you have questions and to report status on projects and assignments.

3. Offer creative ideas on branding projects.

4. Other duties as assigned.

The Student Graphic Designer position will be re-evaluated at the end of every semester. Re-hiring for the next semester is not a guarantee.

Job Qualifications

Minimum:

• Able to work remotely with own computerduring the school year and possibly summer (TBD with supervisor at the end of the Spring Semester)

• Must be currently enrolled as a North Central College student or will be enrolled for Fall, 2025.

• Creative, and able to accept direction and constructive criticism well.

• Organized, and able to stay on task and meet deadlines.

• Works well with others as part of a team.

Must have experience using Adobe Illustrator and Adobe
• Photoshop.

Preferred:

• Adobe InDesign experience.

• Video editing and motion graphic experience, or interest in them.

We have a computer and a workspace in our office if you do not have access to a computer or the ability to work remotely. Use of this workstation will be limited to office hours, Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
