Skills & Qualifications

â Minimum higher education: University degree in Engineering, Geology, Electronics, Geophysics, Marine Science or Marine Technology is required.
â Training in analogue geophysics acquisition systems, processing, and interpretation.
â Training in HR2D seismic acquisition systems, processing, and interpretation.
â Knowledge and understanding of the local and international Regulations and standards on Workplace Safety and Environment (e.g.: SOLAS, MARPOL, IMO, SASISOPA, STPS, OSHA, API, NFPAs, NOMs, EPA, etc)
â Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook.
â Knowledge of the processing software to be used by the Geophysical contractor: software packages: Starfix VBAProc, Vista or similar software to be able to give feedback and approve onboard processing products from the contractor.
â Excellent written and oral command in English.
â Valid Offshore Survival certification (e.g. BOSIET or equivalent).
â Valid Medical certification.
â Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).

Experience & Knowledge
â Minimum 10-year experience in marine site survey investigations, including the acquisition, quality Control, processing, and interpretation of Analogue Geophysics data and HR2D seismic. At least 5 years assuming the function of onboard lead QC.
â Experience in Geophysics acquisition for marine site surveys should include processing and interpretation of: Multi Beam Echosounder, High resolution side scan sonar, High resolution sub bottom profiler and HR2D seismic.
â HSE background.
â Experience working as Company representative in similar projects with positive feedback will be considered in the selection of candidates will be a plus.

Software & Hardware
â Laptop with visualization software for HR2D data and analogue geophysics data.
â Visualization software with basic processing functions for QC purpose of analogue geophysics data including multibeam echosounder, sub bottom profiler, side scan sonar and magnetometer data.
â Visualization software with basic processing functions for QC purpose of HR2D data including: shot gathers, cap gathers, brute stacks, velocity functions and final stacks and migrations.
