Office Specialist - Home Health


Position Overview:


We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Specialist to support the daily operations of our multi-faceted home health agency. This role ensures efficient office management, smooth coordination of patient care, and strong patient relations. Working closely with the Director of Clinical Services or Executive Director, the Office Specialist assists in scheduling, resolving patient concerns, and ensuring compliance with office policies and procedures. Additionally, this position provides staff support, training, and orientation in the absence of the Director of Clinical Services.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily office operations to ensure efficiency and compliance
  • Collaborate with staff, physicians, and external resources to coordinate patient care
  • Resolve scheduling conflicts, patient concerns, and administrative issues
  • Serve as a backup to the Director of Clinical Services in training and guiding staff
  • Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems for documentation and patient tracking
  • Maintain strong communication and customer service standards

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Education:
  • High school diploma or GED (required)
  • Associate's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field (preferred)
  • Graduate of a state-approved Licensed Vocational Nursing (LVN) program (preferred)
  • Experience:
  • Minimum two (2) years of relevant experience (Home Health or Hospice required)
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), Wellsky/Kinnser preferred
  • Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication with outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and within a team environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Additional Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license, auto liability insurance, and reliable transportation
  • Travel may be required

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • Office-based role with a relatively quiet yet fast-paced environment
  • Requires visual acuity, dexterity, and the ability to sit, stand, push, pull, and lift up to 25 lbs
  • Must be able to meet deadlines and comply with regulations and policies
  • Potential exposure to auto-related travel risks

Location & Schedule:

Onsite: 14025 Delany Road, La Marque, TX 77568

Shift: Monday - Friday (8:30 AM - 5:00 PM)


Compensation & Benefits:

Hourly 40 Hours Per Week
