Job Title: Office Security and Sustainment Support Specialist Responsibilities of the Office Security and Sustainment Support Specialist: EDC Consulting LLC (EDC) is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Office Security and Sustainment Support Specialist to join our team. This individual will support the Air Force Logistics, Engineering, and Force Protection (AF/A4) Directorate, serving as a technical writer, facilitator, and presenter for senior-level clients. The role involves managing security processes, developing key documentation, and contributing to strategic initiatives for the U.S. Air Force. The Office Security and Sustainment Support Specialist will: Develop, implement, and maintain AF/A4 information security, industrial security, personnel security, PII, and SAF Security documentation, including key DoD strategies, reports, and whitepapers. Manage and schedule A4 COOP/CAT program appointments, recalls, and orientation sessions for Air Force Senior Leaders at continuity of operations (COOP) facilities. Ensure compliance with security regulations and policies, including the Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS), for the secure handling and protection of classified information, personnel, and physical assets. Conduct security risk assessments, inspections, and investigations, providing recommendations to mitigate vulnerabilities. Advise commanders and senior leaders on security matters, policies, and procedures, including coordination with General Officers and SESes. Train personnel on security protocols, procedures, and best practices to ensure organizational compliance. Process and manage security clearances, verify document signatures, and ensure timely execution of security protocols. Assist the A4 Director of Staff with security-related projects and initiatives. Analyze requirements, develop solutions, and present proposals for new IT capabilities within the technology portfolio. Maintain strong client relationships, facilitate meetings, and represent the organization in key forums, including taking detailed minutes at high-level meetings. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university (required). Active Top-Secret security clearance (required). Minimum of 3+ years of experience in security or office sustainment roles, with prior experience as a Unit Security Manager strongly desired. At least 5+ years of experience working with the US Air Force, preferably at Headquarters level (Major Command, Center, or Pentagon). Extensive experience with DPAS for processing visit requests and managing defense-related priorities. Familiarity with SAP Security per Department of Defense Manual 5205.07, Vol. 1. Strong writing skills with experience in technical or formal writing (e.g., proposals, technical reports, whitepapers). Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills, with experience briefing or coordinating with senior leaders (General Officers and SESes). Proven client relationship management skills and the ability to build lasting professional relationships. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) with exceptional attention to detail.
