POSITION SUMMARY This is highly responsible and detailed systems work within the facilities and engineering, safety & emergency management department which includes but limited to:
1. The procurement of materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and services used in the departments.
2. Is the primary contact for processes related to the inventory management system.
3. Acts as the liaison between vendors, Supply Chain Management and Accounts Payable regarding the invoicing and payment process.
4. Provides administrative support duties for the department with a focus on local and state regulatory/permitting compliance.
5. Receives direction from the Director of Facility Services, Manager of Design and Construction for strategic objectives within the scope of facilities & engineering, safety and emergency management. Work is performed under minimal supervision.
EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, TRAINING and EXPERIENCE: Minimum Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficient in the use of keyboard and basic computer applications.
- Proficient in the use of spreadsheet, graphics and database software, and ability to learn to use software specific to engineering and facility management.
- Proficient in preparing correspondence, records/files maintenance, communications and customer service gained, through formal education and/or substantial related work experience.
- Ability to read and understand related regulatory requirements as they relate to reporting and recordkeeping.
Preferred:
- Associate Degree in Secretarial Science or related degree, with substantial previous engineering, construction, planning, maintenance, or related work experience, to include proficiency in the use of Project Management software.
