Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Office Manager to oversee daily operations at our specialized pediatric ophthalmology practice. You will work directly with our physician owner/CEO to ensure exceptional patient care while maintaining efficient business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct daily administrative and clinical operations to ensure a seamless healthcare experience
- Develop and implement staff training programs in coordination with clinical leadership
- Manage clinic scheduling, resource allocation, and patient flow optimization
- Create and maintain a child-friendly, welcoming environment
- Oversee staff recruitment, training, and performance management
- Address staff concerns and resolve conflicts in alignment with practice values
- Maintain and/or lead structured meetings (morning huddles, weekly operations meetings, monthly strategic sessions)
- Facilitate effective communication between clinical and administrative teams
- Serve as liaison between the practice and external partners (vendors, referring physicians)
- Drive patient volume for all providers - ophthalmologists, orthoptists, and optometrists
- Support practice owners in strategic planning initiatives
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, OSHA)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of healthcare management experience (ophthalmology or pediatric specialty preferred)
- Experience with medical practice management systems and EHR
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities required
