Job Description:
This is the assistant to the Assistant Deputy Commissioner of the Division of Technology and Innovation (DTI) and acts as office manager for the Resource Management Section. The person in this position is expected to perform highly responsible administrative work as related to the statutory regulations of the education profession in the State of Florida. This position requires excellent communication skills in dealing with the public, appointed commissioners, and members of the legal and education professions. You will be integral to the administration of the division while tracking documents and providing support to multiple mission critical sections. This is a great opportunity for someone who is highly organized, detailed oriented, and can communicated effectively.
This position is not approved for telework and must report to the location listed above.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Providing internal and external customer service. Assisting with the hiring process by scheduling meetings, following up with candidates, and assisting with onboarding.
Receiving, sorting, and distribution of incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
Creating and maintaining administrative procedures.
Editing correspondence, documents, and reports for leadership approval.
Routing and tracking incoming and outing documents daily.
Researching, compiling, and formatting special reports as needed.
Monitoring office supplies.
Performing related work as required.
