Our home office is in Hauppauge, and we have offices in Iselin, NJ and Floral Park, NY. Our local clients are on Long Island, NYC, Long Island City and NJ. We have travel accounts to MA, FL, SC and upstate NY.
A fast-paced accounting firm is looking for a meticulous individual to provide support. The ideal candidate should be capable of handling multiple tasks in a high-pressure, high-volume setting. The perfect candidate will demonstrate professionalism, organization, and a commitment to meeting deadlines while delivering high quality work and managing all assigned responsibilities. The individual is expected to work independently and think critically. A friendly, positive attitude and ability to collaborate as a team player, along with adaptability to changing priorities are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Partners, Accounting Manager, and their audit teams with support
- Review, edit, format financial statements, different reports/documents and various letters
- Review and process various government tax returns
- Scanning and copying documents
- Prepare meeting materials, electronic presentations and/or physical books
- Various mailings, digital filing, and faxing of documents
- Booking travel arrangements
- Multi-line phone/reception coverage as needed
Skills:
- In-depth working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Adobe-A MUST.
- Strong attention to detail and outstanding proofreading abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Capability to effectively prioritize and execute various tasks with accuracy and within deadlines
- Foster upbeat communication within the organization and external clients
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- A strong desire to learn and the ability to adapt to the Firm's requirements are essential qualities for success in this position
- Collaborative individual with an optimistic outlook
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Knowledge of Caseware/Caseview a plus
