Our client, a full service law firm is seeking an Office Assistant (with room for growth down the line) at their Downtown NYC Office. This role will support the Office including Partners and assist with all Reception duties. This is a great opportunity for someone with legal internships or administrative experience who wants to grow in the legal field.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support and assistance to Office Manager and firm's partners;
- Assist with the management of day-to-day operations of the office;
- Coordinate printing and shipping of materials, format/copy/distribute materials as needed
- Maintaining inventory of supplies and purchasing as needed
- Collecting billing information as needed to print checks
- Support the Legal Support Team as needed, for example: Preparing court statements and forms
- Dictating Lawyers' audio files and written notes
- Interact directly with clients ensuring professional and customer-service oriented interactions.
- Managing diaries and making travel arrangements for one or more Lawyers
- Supporting legal research and communicating with vendors, experts, Lawyers, opposing counsel and other staff
- Manage incoming and outgoing telephone calls for Partner.
- Manage and assist on special projects as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of administrative experience, or related experience
- Legal Internships Ideal.
- Bachelor's degree strongly preferred/required.
- Extremely polished, forward-facing, and professional.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Comfortable working with all levels of an organization.
