This is a remote position with a base location in Greater Atlanta. The position will be responsible for the Atlanta Metropolitan area with some travel to Savannah, Augusta, and Columbus.What the Role Is The Off Premise Channel Manager will be responsible for the execution of company off premise strategic initiatives in Georgia. This individual will execute at the field level in off premise accounts and will require the ability to evaluate, implement, and execute programs within our brand strategies. The successful candidate will also lead, direct, train, and manage local distributor sales teams.
How You Will Spend Your Time? - Develop and maintain a list of key accounts in the off premise to ensure market visibility, collaboration, and strong rapport within the focus network
- Manage and work alongside distributors on a day-to-day basis, ensuring adherence to our brand strategy, execution of corporate objectives, and promotional activity
- Regular planning and review meetings with specified points of contact within the distributor network covering (but not limited to) depletions, goals, accounts sold, POD's, etc.
- Stay informed of customer and consumer trends providing key updates and accurate information that will affect commercial business
- Be visible and impactful at the distributor office, meeting with the sales team to secure share of mind
- Act as primary field contact for distributor management and sales teams to ensure they are informed of corporate objectives and programs while providing support for all sales-related activities
- Create educational and training opportunities for distributor salespeople, account partners, and consumers
- Align with key local events and participate where the opportunity fits our strategy, including the execution of national initiatives in your local market
- Provide National Account Mandate compliance updates as they are required
- Provide feedback on the effectiveness of marketing and sales initiatives including programs, POS, advertising, etc.
- Special projects such as verifying pricing and or distribution at off-premise accounts
- Supporting Market Manager - Direct report
Who You Are - Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related discipline, or may substitute equivalent years' work-related experience
- Five (5) plus years of work-related experience in distilled spirits/wine supplier industry
- Analytical skills, in particular gathering data from a wide variety of sources and presenting it in formats suitable for a wide variety of audiences
- Sales and Marketing - Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems
- Good managerial and effective presentation skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills. Capable of managing multiple projects at any given time.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Valued but not Required Skills and Experience: - Emphasis in Management and/or Marketing
- Advanced computer proficiency
- Distributer Experience
