About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Automotive Sales Manager to provide strategic operational leadership within our Sales and Purchasing Group. You'll be the critical link between our company, our customers, and suppliers-driving long-term relationships, leading purchasing negotiations, and ensuring sales targets are met. This is not your average auto parts sales job-this is a manufacturing-focused, strategic leadership opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Forecasting
- Analyze customer forecasts and help develop long-term sales strategies
- Support sales planning through shipping calculations and sales projections
- Prepare competitive quotations and negotiate pricing with customers
Purchasing & Costing
- Lead supplier negotiations for raw materials and components
- Manage pricing adjustments with both customers and suppliers
- Analyze product design and manufacturing changes for cost implications
Operations & Leadership
- Serve as the point of contact for customers and suppliers
- Maintain strong communication and resolve any conflicts
- Potentially recruit, train, and manage team members
- Act as Document Control Representative
- Support cross-functional departments including Material Services
What You Bring
- Experience in automotive manufacturing sales or purchasing
- Strong negotiation skills with suppliers and B2B customers
- Forecasting, planning, and pricing strategy experience
- Comfortable with document control responsibilities
- Leadership experience or potential to lead a small team
