MAKITA Corporation of America (MCA), is a worldwide leading producer of high-quality power tools. We currently have an opening at the manufacturing facility, located in Buford, Georgia.
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) Business Development Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving growth by identifying new business opportunities and building strong relationships with clients. You will leverage your expertise in market analysis, strategic planning, and customer relationship management to develop and implement effective business opportunities that align with our company's goals.
Responsibilities
- Develop opportunities for new business with potential OEM customers to increase revenues and optimize profit.
- Coordinate with Product Management to identify and target potential OEM customers and product segments.
- Collaborate with the engineering team and product development team to identify customer requirements and translate them into product specifications.
- Responsible for direct customer negotiations to secure OEM business.
- Manage pricing and other sales proposal activities.
- Negotiate commercial contracts with OEM/ODM customers adhering to commercial terms, market conditions and all product and government requirements, regulations, codes and standards.
- Identify current and future customer service requirements.
- Communicate and update progress on a regular basis to Senior Management.

- Proven experience in business development or sales roles, preferably within a relevant industry.

- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical) or Business Management from an accredited institution.
- 7-10 years of experience involving OEM sales/design/estimating and customer support.
- Experience with OEM gas engine or electric motor sales a plus.
- Adept in engineering problem solving
