Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will work with our residents to help them achieve their maximum independence and improve their quality of life through therapeutic interventions. You will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
Duties
Conduct thorough evaluations of residents ' physical, emotional, and social needs.
Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on assessment results.
Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques to enhance residents' functional abilities.
Provide education and support to residents' and their families regarding treatment options and rehabilitation processes.
Maintain accurate documentation of resident's progress and treatment outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards.
Stay updated on best practices in occupational therapy and participate in ongoing professional development.
Under a physician's orders, screens and evaluates resident/ patient and develops appropriate care plan.
Assists resident / patients in performing activities of daily living which may include dressing, cooking, and eating.
Instructs residents, families and caregivers in the use of adaptive equipment such as wheelchairs, splints, and aids for eating and dressing.
Devises special tools and treatments for the specific needs of patients.
Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy
Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
Certified or registered by the NCBOT
Strong knowledge of medical terminology and physiology.
One (1) year of clinical experience preferred.
Experience in various settings such as outpatient clinics, ICU, geriatrics, pediatrics, acute care, inpatient facilities, or home health is preferred.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to resident/patient-centered care.
Participates in (or conducts) company-sponsored training to safeguard against improper use and disclosure of resident's protected health information. Monitors and ensures compliance with company policies, procedures and state and federal law.

Pay: $46.50 - $48.34 per hour
