Job Summary - This Occupational Therapist (OT) will provide care to young adult thru geriatric populations in a variety of settings to include IP Rehab, SNF and Acute Care (specific to elective total joints). Following physician orders, responsible to assess, develop, and implement treatment plans directed at a minimum to prevention, management of conditions and/or rehabilitation. OT s assist patients in achieving their highest level of independence in activities of daily living. Treatments focus on education/instruction in the use of adaptive equipment, compensatory strategies, visual perception strategies, cognitive retraining, therapeutic exercise/activities to improve mobility and strength, relief of pain, and improve/prevent/restore impairments and limitations resulting from disease or injury.
Direct care staff are required to complete all Hip and Knee Replacement Program curriculum and annual education module(s) assigned.
Job Requirements - Education
- Required: Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program
- Preferred: Masters or Doctorate from an accredited program of Occupational Therapy
- Experience

- Good clinical expertise, communication skills, human relations skills and organizational skills required.
- Self-motivated individual who can work independently with little direct supervision required
- Has demonstrated interest in professional growth by attendance at continuing education workshops, and applications of new principles and/or techniques.
- Licensure/Certification/Registration
- Required: Active Missouri licensure for Occupational Therapy. (Limited permits not accepted)
Required: BLS must be obtained within 90 days of hire
