Metro is looking for a motivated and passionate Per Diem Occupational Therapist to join our expanding Homecare team. Come be a part of a growing organization in a progressive, supportive, and innovative environment. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
Job Type: Per Diem
Pay: $80-$90 per visit
What You'll Be Doing:
Provide 1:1 treatment
Plan, prepare and carry out individually designed programs of occupational treatment to maintain, improve or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain and prevent occupational dysfunction in patients.
Custom Splint Fabrication for Patients
Perform and document an initial exam, evaluating the data to identify problems and determine a diagnosis prior to intervention.
Develop and guide plans of care which encourage compliance and produce the best results for your patients.
Evaluate effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit.
Must be willing to treat all ages and have sensory integration experience

Requirements:
Occupational Therapist Program Graduate.
NY Occupational Therapy License or eligible.
Evaluates patient's need for occupational therapy and develops appropriate treatment plan.
Provide appropriate care and treatment to patients based on physician care plan, agency policy and professional standards of care.
Instructs family members, Home Health Aides, and other caregivers in appropriate occupational therapy techniques.
Ability to travel to and from the homes of your patients throughout your given territory.
Strong communication skills between patients, support staff, and management, including timely responses via text, email, phone, etc.
