Skilled Obstetrics-Gynecology Nurse Practitioner or Certified Nurse Midwife Needed To join a meaningful long-term assignment in the picturesque Sacramento Mountains of southern New Mexico. This opportunity allows you to contribute to women s health and wellness for the Mescalero Apache Tribe and surrounding communities. Work Schedule:
Full-time contract opportunity: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Flexible evening and weekend availability based on patient needs
Eight-hour shifts with a one-hour unpaid lunch
Scope of Services:
Provide comprehensive OB-GYN care, including:
Well-woman exams and Pap smears
Family planning and contraception management
STI screenings and treatments
Menopause support and hormone therapy
Minor procedures (e.g., IUD insertion/removal)
Interpretation of labs and diagnostics
Community education and outreach
Emergency stabilization as needed
Requirements:
Active, unrestricted license as a Nurse Practitioner in ANY U.S. state
Certification in OB-GYN or Women s Health, or as a Certified Nurse Midwife
Ability to obtain and maintain IHS credentialing and privileges
Valid driver s license
Current immunization record, including TB clearance
Clean NPDP report with no licensing or malpractice history
Fingerprint-based background clearance per the Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act
Completion of required federal training: HIPAA, PIV card enrollment, and facility-specific orientation
