Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician

Coverage Needed:

• May 2, 2025 - ongoing
• Schedule: On-site inpatient rounding and on-site evening call
• Specific Dates:
  • May 2, 6:00 AM - May 5, 7:00 AM
  • May 30, 6:00 AM - June 2, 7:00 AM
  • June 25, 6:00 AM - June 26, 7:00 AM

Clinical Details:

• Patient Ages: Adult
• Patient Volume: Average 11 patients per day
• Call: On-site for entire shift, including trauma call
  • must be available via phone for two office NPs who have any emergent questions about a patient they may need to send over to hospital
• EMR: eCW for outpatient and Meditech for inpatient
• Support Staff: Yes, including NPs who may request that the locums be prepared to handle a delivery, c-section or other complication requiring the patient to present in the inpatient setting
• Cover ER consults, floor consults, L&D, deliveries, emergent procedures, etc.
• Responsibilities: Laboring patients, inductions, triage labor patients, ER consults, Floor consults, Trauma call, and follow-up on established OBGYN patients in the inpatient setting
• No OB Hospitalist program for backup; dedicated private sleep room and doctors' lounge available
• Available via phone for emergent questions from office NPs

Requirements:

• Board Certified/Board Eligible
• Active VA Medical License
• Active DEA/CSR
• Clean malpractice
• DEA must remain in state to maintain privileges. Provider must be willing transfer and maintain DEA in state for the duration of privileges being active, or obtain a new in state DEA to remain in state for the duration of privileges being active
• Current Flu Vaccine
• Must be fully vaccinated for Covid 19
  • Exemptions only allowed for religious or medical reasons, once approved by the facility.
