Job Opportunity: Locum Physician - OB/GYN
Summary: We are seeking a dedicated OB/GYN to join our team at a well-regarded facility in Garden City, Kansas. This is a prime opportunity for physicians looking for locum tenens coverage starting June 1, 2025. The facility boasts excellent support staff and resources, providing comprehensive care for obstetric and gynecologic patients.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide care for new obstetrics, established obstetrics, and gynecology patients.
- Perform surgical consultations and ensure follow-up care.
- Conduct both emergency and scheduled surgeries, with surgical blocks available twice a week.
- Work 24-hour shifts from 7 am to 7 am, managing patient care in clinic and inpatient settings.
- Collaborate with internal OBGYNs and CRNAs for comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain quality documentation in the EMR system (Epic).
- Meet the expectations set forth in required documents and maintain compliance with state regulations.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in OBGYN or Board Eligible (0-5 years of residency completion).
- Active Kansas medical license (highly preferred).
- Current BLS certification required for credentialing.
- DEA registration appropriate for the assignment.
- Proven history of performing at least 5 C-sections and 5 hysterectomies in the last 24 months.
- Clean malpractice and background check highly preferred.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Board Certification in OBGYN.
- Active Kansas license (preferred).
- Current BLS certification.
- DEA registration required.
